Legal & safety
Dance safely, dance often.
Last updated September 1, 2026
Dance is a physical activity. This page summarizes the participation agreement every dancer, or their parent or guardian, signs at enrollment.
Participation and injury
Dancing involves jumps, turns, lifts and partner work that carry a risk of strains, sprains and other injuries
Instructors adapt exercises, but dancers should stop and tell an instructor if something hurts
Parents should share any medical conditions or injuries with the front desk before class
Health and first aid
Instructors are trained in basic first aid, and a first aid kit and ice packs are kept in each studio. In an emergency we call 911 and then the contact listed at enrollment.
Supervision
Dancers under 12 must be dropped off and picked up inside the studio lobby by a parent, guardian or authorized adult.
